AGSM MBA Ranked #32 in FT 2009 Rankings (up 7 places!)

GeneralThe AGSM MBA program has been ranked #32 in the world in the 2009 Financial Times Rankings.

This great result is an improvement of 7 places from the 2008 position and affirms the AGSM MBA as one of the world's leading programs. It affirms the longstanding #1 position in Australia (MBS is the next highest ranked AU program at #52) and is a better result than esteemed programs such as Ivey, Rotman, NUS and Cranfield

Full ranking details are available on the FT site:

'The entrance' Picnic

General

The MBA class of 2009 had their first 'unofficial' picnic on Sunday 27th January when around 30 people (including friends and partners) gathered at the beautiful 'The entrance' beach at the central coast. The picnic featured a soccer match which was abandoned after 10 minutes play due to stemina issues with majority of the players. Everyone gathered at the marine parade foreshore at 3:30PM to see the famous pelican feeding and then majority of us left for a private beach to spend the rest of the day.

Term 4 Kick Off Party

General

Welcome back everyone, and welcome to our incoming Exchange students!

This term the school is hosting the Term kick off party as a reception for prospective students.

Apart from the usual excellent food and wine provided, there will be a short presentation from the Student Society and the Careers office. This is also a great opportunity to meet the new Exchange students (hey guys!) and meet potential students.

Sports Shield Victory! An Eyewitness Report

General

It is with great pleasure that I report the reacquisition of the AGSM-MBS Sports Shield. The trophy, which was presented Saturday night on the harbour cruise, is ours again. It did not come easily - however in retrospect I can say the issue was never really in doubt. The sports gods seemed to smile on us all weekend, with sunshine coming out of nowhere on Friday and hanging around for the duration of the events, and all of our players digging deep in their athletic war chests to look - if only for one weekend - as if they were 19 again.
